Blythe's Stable
Blythe's Farm is located in rural Porter County Indiana on the southeast part of Valparaiso made up of a 20 acre parcel with a 16 stall horse barn and indoor riding arena with heated watching area for winter riders. The farm is owned and maintained by Mike Blythe and a full time stable hand to help with the daily riding of the horses as well as helping other folks that board their horses at the farm.
Mike has enjoyed nearly 40 years of being around horses and finally started his dream stable in 2002. Horses have interested and brought much joy to Mike's life ever since his youth in Carbondale, Illinois.
"I have been around horses since I was a small child. My Uncle Rollin Blythe owned a horse farm in Carbondale, Illinois. Until his passing at the age of 86 years old, he farmed with horses and mules. My summers were filled with breaking horses and mules. His love of these magnificent creatures was passed on to me through long hours and hard work. I have tried to honor his memory and my hope is that your horse boarding, leasing and riding needs can be fulfilled at the farm." Mike Blythe, Owner
